Pricing

Most South African agencies will not tell you what a website costs until they have your phone number. We think that is a strange way to start a relationship, so here are our prices.

These are real, fixed prices for the scope described. If your project needs more than that, we will say so before you pay anything — and the number in the written proposal is the number on the invoice.

E-commerce store

Everything in the business website, plus a working shop that takes South African payments.

R7 500

excluding VAT

or 3 × R2 500 with PayJustNow no interest, no fees

Best for: Retailers and product businesses selling online, whether that is 12 products or 1 200.

What is included

  • Everything in the business website package
  • WooCommerce store, configured properly rather than left on defaults
  • South African payment gateways — PayFast, Yoco, Ozow or PayGate
  • Courier and delivery rules, including local rates and collection
  • Product schema so your items are eligible for Google Shopping results
  • Abandoned-cart recovery and order notification emails
  • Stock, variation and pricing structure set up with you

  • Web applications, client portals, dashboards and internal tooling

The things nobody puts on a pricing page

What you will also pay for, but not to us

A .co.za domain runs roughly R100–R150 a year, and decent South African hosting around R80–R200 a month depending on the site. We set both up in your name and you pay the provider directly, so you are never locked into us for something you could buy yourself.

Payment terms

Half to start, half on approval before we point the domain. Or three PayJustNow instalments on websites and stores. No retainer, no lock-in, no automatic renewals you have to remember to cancel.

What makes a project cost more

Custom integrations, bespoke functionality, multi-language content, migrating a large existing catalogue, or copywriting from scratch. We will tell you before you pay, not after. If your project genuinely needs more than the fixed package, we quote it as software.

Ongoing care

Optional. Luna Cyber Guard covers backups, monitoring, firewall and email filtering, quoted monthly and cancellable. If you would rather run the site yourself, we will show you how at handover and that is the end of it.

Pricing questions

Are these prices real, or a starting point?

They are real fixed prices for the scope described on this page. Solis & Luna builds a business website for R5 500 excluding VAT and an e-commerce store for R7 500 excluding VAT. If your project needs work beyond that scope we will tell you before you pay anything, and the number in the written proposal is the number on the invoice.

Why is custom software quoted "from" R15 500?

Because complexity genuinely varies and a fixed number would be a guess. R15 500 excluding VAT is the realistic floor for a small custom application. We scope the work first, then quote fixed-price phases, so you are never signing an open-ended agreement.

Can I pay in instalments?

Yes. PayJustNow is available on business websites and e-commerce stores — three equal monthly instalments with no interest and no fees. Otherwise our standard terms are half to start and half on approval.

Do you charge for the first conversation?

No. The introductory call is free and there is no obligation. If we are not the right studio for your project we will say so on that call rather than three weeks into a build.

Tell us what you are trying to build

A short message is enough to start. A person reads every enquiry and replies within one working day — and if we are not the right fit for your project, we will say so instead of selling you something.
